Afka & Burton in their own piece “Rob and Bob”

Afka and Burton met in 2007 working for the ‘Newsrevue’ sketch show at the Canal Cafe Theatre, and were forced back together for the ‘Best of Newsrevue’. Now, at last they're working together by choice with their "thoughtful", "touching", "character" "comedy". In their last throes as individuals, Nick (the one on the left) has recently appeared in ‘Pulling’ for the BBC, and James (not on the left) has appeared in ‘Peer Gynt’ which is not on a TV. Amy Son in “A Telephone Call” by Dorothy Parker

Amy’s recent roles include the Ghost in ‘Hamlet’ (site-specific aboard the HMS President), Eileen in ‘Not With a Bang’ (Courtyard Theatre), Peter in ‘Romeo & Juliet (Bridewell) and Alison in ‘Look Back in Anger’ (Lion & Unicorn). A graduate of Webber Douglas, Nicholas’ recent credits include ‘The Actors Nightmare’ (Critics Choice in The Telegraph), ‘Exposures’ and ‘Plane Crash Horrors’ by Matt Harris (Tristan Bates Theatre; both directed by Rikki Beadle-Blair), ‘Holding You - The Nelson Musical’ (New Theatre Royal Portsmouth) and Breather in ‘Breather’ (Blink Productions Wardour Street; directed by Doug Foster). Mitzi Thaddeus in “Savage in Limbo” by John Patrick Shanley

Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Mitzi has been living and performing in London for the past two years. Having completed a Masters at the top Method School in Vancouver, her recent credits include: Lina in ‘Chicken’ at Teachro Technis, Nurse Patty Lennox in the film ‘Going Home with Cisco’; newly released feature film ‘Project Grey’, the leading character in a short film called ‘Lady Jane’ which premiered at the 2007 London International Film Festival & a lead role in a modern theatrical adaptation of ‘Snow White’. Stephen Andrews in “The Art of Success” by Nick Dear

Since graduating from drama school in 2005 Stephen has worked mainly in film and television. Parts have included small roles in ‘Love Soup’ (BBC TV), ‘Private Life’ (winner of the Sundance Film Award 2007) and the lead in the 2006 short ‘Galatea’. London Bites offers him the opportunity to return to his love of live theatre. He also has a background in improvisational comedy and stand-up.

 

Jenna Goodwin in “The Art of Success” by Nick Dear

Jenna is a mixed raced newcomer from South East London. She graduated from Arts Ed in London where she received great reviews for her work. Credits include: ‘The Seagull’, ‘Hay Fever, ‘Betrayal’, ‘The Way Of The World and ‘The Odyssey’. She has recently appeared in two short films playing the lead. John Edon in “Into the Mean Streets” by Rob Dinsdale

John Edon is 22 and trained at Liverpool’s Institute for Performing Arts, graduating in July 2007. Stage credits include The Duke in Shakespeare’s ‘Measure for Measure’. TV credits include Dean Murray in ‘Holby Blue’ (BBC). John will be appearing at the Liverpool Shakespeare festival as Lysander in Lodestar’s production of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ over the summer. Sam Quinn in “Into the Mean Streets” by Rob Dinsdale

Sam has been acting for 23 years, playing various roles including ‘Son,’ ‘Grandson,’ and ‘Step Son’ as well as ‘Dad’ in Debbie Tucker Green’s Stoning Mary at The Pleasance Theatre, London. Helen trained on the 3-year course at Guildford School of Acting where she was the recipient of the Sir Anthony Hopkins Scholarship. Credits include June in ‘Anyone Can Whistle’ (Bridewell Theatre); Mrs Phagan in ‘Parade’ (British Premiere, Edinburgh Festival) and Mary Ann in ‘The Little British Empire’ (Repertoire Rooms Productions).
