TESTIMONIALS

I'd just like to echo that - it was a real pleasure to

be part of such a great show. My friends who came to

see it were really complementary and I was delighted

to share a stage with such talent.

Chandrika Chevli, June 2007

I am doing great since my appearance in Superhero. I got a show from it, which led to an agent, which led to me getting a job on TV this year. So Stand Up Drama does work.

Birthday Bites - Feedback

“….the show was most enjoyable I will certainly come along to future London Bites events as some of the new talent you are encouraging is definitely worth keeping an eye on!”

Caroline Gannon, C.K.K. ENTERTAINMENT.

“Just wanted to drop you a quick email to say how much I enjoyed last night. I thought there were some really great performances and found it extremely useful. My favourite part of the evening was the ‘Who’s line is it anyway’ style games and would have happily watched another 15 minutes of it. On the downside, I have pulled most of the muscles in my stomach from laughing so much!”

Charlie Bettice, Creative Co-ordinator, Maverick Media.

“It was a great evening.”

Maxine Burrows, Lipservice

“I very much enjoyed the evening - it seemed to be a resounding success. Well done.”

Graham Aveling, Business Development, The Stage

I thought you might like to hear a feel-good girly tale of how Stand Up drama's changed someone's life -

 - My first appearance got me my agent, who then got me a season acting in paid Rep (at Frinton - that's where I've been all summer)

 - At my second Stand Up, in May, I met my now boyfriend who was also performing. Love Bites at first sight I suppose?

I know other people have got loads out of Stand Up as well - thanks very much for giving me the opportunity!

Serena Cowdy - February and May 2006

Hey good luck with press night. I will be in tech run

for the play 'SUBURBIA' i'm doing at Pentameters THeatre in Hampstead. Its a four week run. I got the part because the director saw me at London Bites.

So thanks for giving me the chance to perform, it paid off.

James Kermack

Thank you so much - I really enjoyed it! It was an absolute pleasure working with you all : )

And thanks so much for the chocolates!!! That was really sweet of you - and a lovely surprise.

Odile Rault

“I had an ace time doing the show, and would be well keen to do it again, thanks for all the hard work you put into this, it's such a great night!”

Lyanne Mansfield, Performer August 06

"Stand Up Drama is a most welcome venture by actors, for actors".

Katherine Gregor - Agent (Frontline Management)

Stand Up Drama is a fantastic platform for actors and writers alike. As a writer, you get to try out new material, and as an actor you get to perform – which is great when you have been out of work for a few months! Originally I was nervous about the cabaret style set-up with the audience (I took part in the first London Bites) but actually what it creates is a relaxed atmosphere, a good humoured audience and makes the whole thing seem much more informal than conventional theatre events. This is also ideal for people who don’t visit the theatre much, and perhaps consider it to a bit stuffy and uncomfortable. I am sure that Stand Up Drama will continue to go from strength to strength – it deserves to.

It was lovely how friendly and supportive everyone was, brilliant backstage banter!

Thanks very much for organising all this Melissa. Much appreciated, great to be involved and a real buzz to do. I've had a couple of agents contact me since which is encouraging! I'm considering applying for April London Bites

Thanks so much for the opportunity to perform over the past few nights. I have really enjoyed meeting you and taking part in London Bites. It has certainly given me a taste for more so i shall get writing and see what i come up with.

Thanks to John and Simon for their input too. My boyfriend Tom, who saw both nights, said he was impressed by the standard of the acts and also loved the improv.

Jo Eliot, performer

Just a quick note to say thank you I had a great time and what a wonderful night.

I just wanted to drop you a line to say how much I enjoyed performing in London Bites last night and how well you took care of us all.
